I am an experienced counselor and psychotherapist with an Honours degree from Dublin Business School. I am also accredited with the IACP (Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy).
In life we all experience challenges and difficulties, for the most part we are able to manage these but occasionally we find our coping mechanisms no longer work for us the way they used to. These difficulties may arise from a particular event or a culmination of events. They may also belong somewhere in our past but continue to provoke in us difficult feelings, impacting on us in an unhelpful way.
In counselling you work with a qualified therapist to enable you to explore thoughts, beliefs and behaviors that are impacting your life. The aim of counselling is to provide you with a safe and confidential environment as you work through and begin to understand these thoughts and behaviors in the strictest of confidence.
My approach is integrative and humanistic which means I bring together the following approaches: person-centered, psychodynamic, CBT and Mindfulness approaches. I place emphasis on the relationship between the client and counsellor which is based on openness, trust, empathy, congruence, unconditional positive regard and compassion.
Each person is an individual and therefore each therapy is tailored to the individual. I work with adults aged 18 and over on a one-to-one basis.
In order to make therapy more accessible, some reduced priced places are available for those on low incomes. I also offer a student rate for those in full time study and students of psychotherapy.
Sessions are available in Dublin 2 as well as in Donnybrook. To book an initial counselling session, you can contact me directly by phone or email.
I also run meditation classes & workshops, Mindfulness meditation is beautifully simple. The essence of Mindfulness is observation without criticism, and being compassionate with yourself.
Keep an eye on our schedule for upcoming workshops & classes.
