Claudia Manica

A little about Claudia:

With a background in Business Administration, International Business and beauty therapy, Claudia´s approach to Yoga is one that honors the need for individual self-study - with the aim of improving interpersonal relations and common unity.

Claudia has been studying and practicing Yoga since the year 2000, inspired firstly by Brahma Kumaris’ Raja Yoga meditation in São Paulo. After 6 years, Claudia came across Uni-Yoga University in Brazil and discovered Swasthya Yoga with Master DeRose and his codified yoga based on Tantra and Samkhya.
This had a transformative influence that altered the course of her life. She took a 3-year teaching course and graduated as a Yoga Teacher, going on to teach Ashtánga Sádhana Yoga at one of the branches of the same university in the south of Brazil.

After 10 years of industry experience with quality systems and international trade, she decided to leave her career in business administration behind to embark on a new life, dedicating her time to personal development and teaching Ashtánga Sádhana Yoga abroad.
She moved to India, where she lived for 6 months in both Rishikesh and Kajuraho - in order to deepen her knowledge of Yoga philosophy and had contact with genuine Masters who taught her about the eight limbs of Raja Yoga from Patánjali – Yama, Nyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dhárana, Dyana and Samadhi (awareness, concentration and meditation).

In 2013, Claudia moved to Dublin and has been teaching yoga since 2014. Her style of yoga combines Pranayama, Asana and Samadhi. Pranayama techniques focus on breathing. Asana utilises a variety of poses, through conscious sequences, working on alignment, balance and strength. Samadhi develops one’s awareness, concentration and ability to meditate at any stage. She believes that yoga philosophy provides an opportunity to explore the spiritual through the physical, and improves your lifestyle through expanding your awareness of the present moment.

Her yoga practice aims to bring the study of yoga off the mat and into the practice of life. In her opinion, everyone should have this great experience enhancing your life for the better. Her classes encourage students to connect deeply with their inner-selves, their conscious mind, as well as their breathing in order to calm the mind and focus on being present. She caters for students of all levels and tailors her classes to their individual needs.
