Amy Redmond

Therapies

Amy Redmond trained and worked as a professional actor in New York after receiving her BA in English & Spanish literature at UCD.

Her many acting credits include Off Broadway appearances at the Irish Repertory Theatre, “Amy Redmond as one of the four mothers is powerfully moving,” Anita Gates, The New York Times.
"Amy Redmond is especially gripping," John Simon, New York Magazine.
"Amy Redmond is hauntingly convincing as the bewildered, despairing Polly whose childhood realm of fantasy and joy can only survive the darkness of cruelty and impending madness, in an imaginary world," Laoise MacReamoinn, Irish Voice.

On returning to Ireland she received an MA in Journalism from DCU and for 8 years worked as a sub-editor, feature writer and broadcast researcher, producer & presenter with The Irish Times, Irish Independent, The Irish Mail on Sunday, RTE and Annalivia FM. She re-trained as a drama facilitator in 2008 and facilitates regularly in drama & creative writing as well as freelancing as Recreation Therapist on the Twilight Programme at St. Patrick’s University Hospital. She successfully completed Train the Trainer in 2011.
