The benefits of a Japanese Facial

  • Anti-Ageing - regenerates and rejuvenates skin and muscle tissue, helping to delay as well as reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Acupressure helps to relax facial and scalp muscles, aiding in the release of tension and pain.
  • Increased cellular turn over resulting in firmer healthier skin.
  • Skin tone and texture is also improved, resulting in a smoother, fresher, clearer skin
  • Clears spots and congestion
  • Leaves skin looking radiant with pigmentation marks and blemishes lightened
  • Lymphatic drainage removes toxins and excess water reducing the look of puffiness

WHAT IS A JAPANESE FACIAL?
A Japanese Facial combines Acupressure, Facial Massage and Lymphatic Drainage Techniques. Acupressure reduces tension and encourages relaxation throughout the entire body through the stimulation of specific acupressure points on the face and scalp using ancient Chinese Medicine techniques. The Japanese products used are of the highest quality. They are based on Chinese Medicine and contain many of the same ingredients.

Using organic essential oils or creams, the massage of the face further encourages deep relaxation as well as increasing blood circulation, improving the tone, texture and health of skin and muscle tissue. The Treatment involves the face, neck and scalp. Organic essential oils are tailored to each individual’s needs. Alternatively, a simple organic facial massage cream can be used.

WHAT CAN IT TREAT?
  • Ageing Skin
  • Uneven Skin Texture/Tone
  • Poor Muscle Tone
  • Pigmentation marks or blemishes
  • Muscular Tension
  • Dark or puffy under eye areas
  • Skin congestion and spots

WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM A JAPANESE FACIAL?
Almost everyone can benefit from a Holistic Facial Massage. The treatment however would not be suitable for young children or for people with serious medical conditions where massage of any kind is contra-indicated (eg cancer). If you are currently using a facial cream containing steroids a patch test will need to be conducted 48hrs before the facial.

WHAT HAPPENS IN A TREATMENT?
Treatment begins with a short consultation. This is necessary in order to establish if there are any medical reasons/contra-indications why the client may not be suited to treatment. The client will be lying comfortably on a massage bed, and covered in a blanket.

The treatment itself begins with a double cleanse and tone, using natural organic products suited to the clients skin type. A foaming exfoliator is applied which gently removed dead skin cells leaving the skin soft and fresh. When complete, the acupressure and massage treatment will begin and last up to 40 minutes. This will be followed by the application of a healing mask, a hot towel will be placed over the mask to aid its absorbtion into the skin. After removal, the skin will be gently toned and moisturized.

At the end of treatment, the client will have the option to leave the massage oil or cream on the skin or alternatively the client may wish to have the oil removed. Aftercare and homecare advice is given. The treatment itself is carried out in a very relaxing environment with soothing background music.
