What is an Anti-Cellulite Massage?

This massage focuses on key areas where cellulite tends to build up for example the front and back of thighs, abdomen, and buttocks. The upper arms can also be worked on if toning is needed.

A combination of swedish massage, myofacial release, lymphatic drainage, acupressure and aromatherapy are used. These will increase circulation, break down fatty deposits, release tension in the muscles and improve the appearance of the skin.

• Reduces appearance of cellulite
• Detoxes the body using acupressure points
• Improves appearance of tired looking skin
• Reduces tension

What to expect in a treatment

An initial assessment is made as to where the client feels they would like to focus the massage, followed by a short consultation. During this time the therapist will choose a blend of aromatherapy oils based on the client’s preferences and the properties of the oils. During the treatment the therapist will use a combination of techniques and varying pressure. Clients are advised that in certain areas the pressure can feel a bit uncomfortable for example the thighs and abdomen can be quite sensitive.

Clients usually begin to see a reduction in visible cellulite from between 6 – 10 treatments depending on body types and the frequency of treatment. After one treatment clients will feel refreshed, relaxed and see an improvement in the appearance of the skin.

What is an Anti-Cellulite Aromatherapy Massage?

This can be either a full-body massage or a massage targeted at the affected area of body (such as legs/buttocks/upper arms), with a focus on massage techniques designed to reduce cellulite and help the body to detox by improving the circulation and lymph drainage. A massage blend is used made with essential oils known for their properties that help combat cellulite. Full body massages are advisable although cellulite may only show in certain areas it is a whole-body problem, caused by toxins.

I recommend to start with a series of 4-6 weekly full body massages (60minutes) whereby the main focus will be on the affected areas. If desired it would be beneficial to thereafter do 2-4 monthly sessions. The best results will occur when you will also make changes to your diet and lifestyle, for which you will be given some tips during the sessions.
