Kundalini Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual discipline for developing strength, awareness, character and consciousness. Kundalini energy is our creative potential, our healing energy, which is already in you and a part of you. In a Kundalini Yoga practice, our Kundalini energy is gently revealed. It is raised from the base of the spine up to the crown of the head.
Kundalini Yoga is open to all; students are encouraged to take the practice at their own pace. This aims to develop inner intuition, the ability to listen to what the body and mind needs in the present moment experience.
During the class, mantras (sound vibrations), meditation and kriyas (specific sets of postures) are employed to stimulate the chakra, glandular and nervous system. The class is specifically structured to ensure that the student never accesses more Kundalini energy then they can gracefully accommodate.
The class will end with a deep relaxation; where we consolidate the practice and the real alchemy occurs.
